It’s not just sadness: why do you feel empty after a loss?
Many people associate grief with intense, constant, recognisable pain. Yet, at many times – or sometimes even for long periods – what emerges is something different: a feeling of emptiness, of detachment, of a lack of energy.
You may feel numb, as if your emotions were distant or hard to reach. And this often gives rise to a silent question: ‘What’s wrong with me?’
In this online session, we’ll start right here: with those experiences that are often misunderstood or overlooked during the grieving process, but which are actually very common.
We’ll explore how this emptiness manifests itself, why it may arise following a loss, and what role it might play in the process you’re going through.
It’s not about ‘feeling more’ or changing what you feel, but about beginning to understand better what’s happening inside you, with a clearer and less judgemental perspective.
