Guilt in the face of loss

After a loss, many people find themselves grappling with recurring thoughts:

  • “Could I have done something differently?”
  • “If only…”
  • “Was it my fault?”

Guilt can become a silent, sometimes persistent presence. It is not always easy to talk about it: it can lead to shame, isolation, or the feeling that one’s way of coping with grief is ‘wrong’.

In this webinar, we will explore, in simple and accessible language, the mental process that can generate guilt following a loss. We will understand why it is so common and how it intertwines with the need to make sense of what has happened.

The session will alternate between moments of theoretical reflection and short guided exercises on thoughts and words, offering tools for self-awareness and insights into self-compassion. It is a safe space in which to pause, listen to oneself and acknowledge what one is going through.

The webinar is aimed at those who are grieving and feel the need to better understand their emotional experience, in a respectful, non-judgemental setting that is attentive to the complexity of each person’s experience.
